    Description

This bike is not for beginners and should be purchased as an investment or occasional rider for an experienced bike enthusiast. I will send you a video of it running and ask any questions before you bid. Yamaha XT-500 enduro and a Legendary Bike made from 1976-1981. This single cylinder bike is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts world-wide. Yamaha won the Paris-Dakar rally 2 times with this bike and it has tremendous torque and power. You can search YouTube and find many videos about the bike and all owners generally love them. This bike came from the estate of the original owner who bought the Bike in San Francisco where he was stationed in the Navy. He rode it during his hitch when he was on leave and when he left the Navy, he kept the bike, but never road it again. I replaced the levers, side covers and the carb is from a later model 500TT, without the accelerator pump just to get the motor running. That is a common upgrade and I am including the original carb, which if you know these bikes, it is need of a rebuild. I have had several of these bikes and they are a blast and known as the "Wheelie King" for the ease of flippin the throttle and the bike pops right up.
These bikes are for good riders and not newbs!
The tanks on these are all aluminum and heavy thick metal. As a result, to find an original with no dents is super rare and will run you a 00. This tank has very little dings and as you can see it looks great.I am starting this auction at k and NO RESERVE. If you pass on this bike, you will be kicking yourself for years to come. There are simply very few bikes with this low mileage and this original. It's an investment that you can ride and enjoy.
The bike is located near Las Vegas, Nevada and I will deliver to your shipper locally.
Try Uship or bring a trailer to get a handle on shipping costs. Bike weighs around 300 lbs more or less.
