Dear fellow eBayers:
I've been selling on eBay for a year. I had a 100% feedback rating. On December 12 2021, my house caught fire and was a complete lost. While trying to rescue my two Labradors, I got severe burns to both hands and my throat. I spent 5 weeks in hospital and rehabilitation center.
Items sold and paid at that moment were to be shipped on December 13. Buy it now items bought and paid until mid February were not shipped. Due to my injuries, I was unable to use a computer.
Buyers who opened cases with eBay have received refunds via eBay. Buyers who were still waiting for their items were refunded by me when I was able to use a computer.
All eBayers who had bought and paid items not shipped have been sent a message explaining the situation. Some buyers were understanding and removed their negative feedbacks but some didn't.
All my inventory located in the house burned. I have few items that were stored elsewhere so I'm slowly going back to selling on eBay

Was used by a blood bank in Quebec.  The device displayed a FATAL ERROR message.  They contacted the vendor with the error details and they were quoted a 4300$US repair(block parts + labor)
They decided to remove the device from service and dispose of it.
Got my hand on an electronic engineer and asked him to take a look.  Diagnostic:  the cable that goes from the top heated block cover to the mainboard was defective.
He said this was a known problem and was a design flaw because the cable they use is too rigid and with time, opening and closing the lid fragilize the thin wires inside the cable and then, suddenly one or more wire inside breaks and this puts the device into a fatal error mode.
He used a Teflon cable  and high temperature soldering.  He said this problem will never come back on the machine.
He fully tested the device
