The UMG 104, fitted with a 500 MHz DSP (digital signal processor), is a completely fast and powerful network analyser. The continuous scanning of the 8 channels with 20 kHz per channel permits the recording of all electrical parameters (more than 800 values), min- and max.-values, the essential voltage quality values like harmonics (up to 40, each phase with direction recognition).On the basis of this data the production failures can be avoided, concepts can be developed e.g. for reducing power costs, measures introduced and with the UMG 104 the improvements achieved can be monitored and documented. Through modern communication architectures the recorded data are forwarded to a central place, stored centrally in efficient databases and made available for further processing in an open architecture. The easy linking in an available building control system or SPS environment extends the usage areas of UMG 104.
