It allows you to record real-time CIF resolution videos from up to 8 cameras at 240 fps for high-quality imagery. Save on storage space with H.264 compression technology in this DVR, which also minimizes bandwidth requirements for operations. In addition, it allows you to record audio from up to 4 channels while providing a single channel audio playback.
The 8-channel DVR ensures smooth and efficient operation even while simultaneously dealing with live viewing, recording, playback viewing, and remote access functions. Multiple record modes like time-lapse, pre-event, alarm, motion, text-in, and panic allow you to easily configure your security system to record based on your requirements. Furthermore, an EZ setup wizard helps you through a step-by-step process of configuring your DVR for use. This compact DVR is not only extremely easy to install and configure but also simple to operate with its intuitive GUI.
Connecting to a network via the Ethernet port, the DVR is capable of achieving transmission rates of up to 120 CIF. The central management system software allows you to remotely manage, monitor, record, and change system setting as well as control multiple DVRs on a single PC. You can also quickly configure the recording schedules, resolutions, and recording type via EZ record. This DVR automatically detects and starts recording from the incoming video feed, thus sparing you the trouble of configuring the settings of your attached cameras. Additionally, built-in PTZ camera protocols allow easy control over your camera network. Adding to your convenience are features such as advanced motion detection, 2-way audio communication, etc.
Password protection adds a layer of security preventing access to unauthorized users. It also features a covert camera operation that provides enhanced security and administrator control over the DVR. S.M.A.R.T. protocol in the D8CS DVR makes it capable of self-monitoring and sending alerts to first responders in case of a critical event such as a hard drive failure or low disk space. You can quickly search through the entire database for a specific video clip with multiple search options such as date/time, calendar, record table, event, text-in, and motion. Plus, museum search allows you to select an on-screen object as a search parameter for quickly closing in on the time when the specific object went missing.
You can attach a monitor for supervising and performing administrative tasks via the BNC and VGA video output ports. Remote viewing of live video feeds is also possible via a compatible Web browser. You can even monitor your premises when you’re away via your iPhone or BlackBerry smartphones with free downloadable applications. The built-in USB port allows you to quickly backup video clips or even upgrade the system. You can control the DVR via the supplied IR remote, a mouse (not included), or front panel controls.
